Banana Farm and Kikuletwa Hot springs

This tour offers a blend of cultural immersion and natural beauty in the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania. It starts with a visit to Pyrita Farm, a banana farm located on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in the Hai district. Visitors are introduced to local banana cultivation, taking a peaceful walk among banana trees while learning about various banana types and their uses.

The tour then continues to the Kikuletwa Hot Springs (also known as Chemka Hot Springs), a refreshing natural oasis surrounded by fig and palm trees. Though called “hot springs,” the waters are cool and perfect for swimming. The drive between these sites showcases the contrast between the region’s wet and dry areas, offering views of the African scrubland dotted with baobab and acacia trees. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing afternoon swimming, lounging, and mingling with locals.
